We have to admit that we have sailed past Copenhagen about ten times on previous trips and have only stopped there once so far. This time we want to take a closer look at the city. Our stay coincides with a visit by our Falkland friends and by Anne and Fritjof, who are all enjoying a weekend in Copenhagen. In order to get there on time, we have to cover almost 100 nautical miles in 29 hours. So much for the resolution to take it easy this time... We are rewarded on the second sailing day with perfect sailing conditions for SY Blue Layla (while many other wind-hungry yachts have to motor). After a few hours of marvellous sailing, the Øresund Bridge, which connects Malmö with Copenhagen, comes into view:

Shortly before entering Øresund, it gets noisy: An aircraft symbol suddenly appears on our AIS (only ships are displayed there usually) – a Danish SAR helicopter seems to have chosen SY Blue Layla as a training target. However, then it turns away and winches a crew member onto the deck of a Finnish ferry:
