We continue with our “Sonderzug nach Hanko”: this time we have to reach the Finnish waters in time for H. to catch his return flight from Helsinki. Although the prevailing low pressure areas provide us with plenty of rain, not a little wind and impressive cloud formations, after an Estonian island and sea mark slalom (see below), a restful night in Dirhami on the Estonian mainland (see above and further down below), and a speedy broad reach across the Gulf of Finland (see above), we manage a precision landing in Hanko/Hangö after 672.5 nautical miles.

Dirhami.

The crossing of the Gulf of Finland to Hanko (see below) brings us back astern wind and U. masters near-collisions with various cargo ships with great nonchalance (“I'm not going to sail in front of this one”). Only a few minutes after we moor in Finland, the rain starts – time for a trip to Helsinki!
