Our gamble pays off: After a long, but beautiful broad reach passage through the Great Belt, we are initially met with an unpleasant south-easterly wind of up to 20 knots the next morning, which makes the passage through Fehmarnsund a little arduous. Over the course of the day, however, the wind is easing so that we are able to reach Warnemünde without having to tack. At the end of the journey, 530.8 nautical miles are being recorded in SY Blue Layla’s logbook.
