We leave Landskrona, which we liked, early in the morning and sail close-hauled northwards along the east coast of the Sound. The current between Helsingborg and Helsingør is kind to us, so that we find ourselves soon in the Kattegat. The rounding of the Kullen headland forces us to sail very close to windward before we finally find a more relaxed point of sail heading into Torekov, a small harbour on the extreme north-western tip of Skåne.
Above: Helsingør (Danmark); below: Helsingborg (Sweden).
Torekov – completely overcrowded in high season. However, we somehow end up with the single berth right in front of the harbour restaurant. It’s a good thing SY Blue Layla is so small!
Kullen, the westernmost tip of southern Sweden.
